The Candlestick Chart
A one-page candlestick chart — the compact market chart that shows not just where a number ended, but the full fight between its high, low, open and close. Each row becomes one candle: a thin wick spans the period's low-to-high range, while the thicker body runs from open to close. Green bodies closed higher than they opened, red bodies closed lower, and grey bodies finished flat. A line chart can show the close, but it hides the volatility inside each period; a candlestick keeps the extremes visible, so long wicks, narrow bodies, reversals and tight ranges all stand out immediately. It is natural for stocks, ETFs and crypto, but it also works for any ordered range log: weekly product prices, inventory level swings, blood glucose ranges, project burn ranges, or anything with a start, a high, a low and an end. Type one ordered period per line as label, open, high, low and close; the sheet fits the shared price axis, colours each candle and summarizes the net move. Leave it blank to print a trading frame and mark candles by hand.
