The Day Circle
A one-page time audit drawn as a 24-hour clock. A to-do list tells you the tasks; it can't show you the shape of a day — how much of it went where, and where it quietly leaked away. This sheet turns a full day into a dial: a donut split into twenty-four wedges, one per hour, with midnight at the top and the hours running clockwise. You build a colour key of up to eight activity categories — sleep, deep work, meetings, admin, exercise, meals, family, scrolling — each tied to a swatch, then colour every hour wedge to match what you actually did with it. Two things make it worth drawing rather than listing. Colouring hour by hour forces an honest account of the whole day, including the in-between hours a list never captures, and the finished circle is glanceable in a way a schedule isn't — a solid block of one colour, or a scatter of another, tells you immediately where your time concentrates and where it fragments. Use it to audit a real day after the fact, to design an ideal day on purpose, to compare a workday against a weekend, or to help a child or a client see their time. Print it blank to name your own categories and colour by hand.
