The Gauge Dashboard
A one-page gauge dashboard — a row of speedometer dials that turns a handful of scores into a picture you can read in a second. Name what you're measuring, then list up to six things you want to track and give each a score from 0 to 100: readiness, confidence, a habit's consistency, a project's health, a team's morale. Each metric becomes a semicircular dial that fills from left to right, with a needle on the reading and a colour that runs red when it's at risk, amber when it needs watching, and green when it's on track — and the header averages the whole set into one overall score. A column of percentages all looks the same; dials don't. The one sitting in the red draws your eye before you've read a single label, so you always know where to put your attention first. Use it for a launch or go/no-go readiness check, a weekly self-review across your pillars, an OKR or goal-progress snapshot, a project health check, a team pulse, or any scorecard where you'd rather see the numbers than read them. Type a value for each metric and the dials fill and colour themselves, needle and all; leave a value off to print an empty dial and fill it in by hand.
