The Parallel Coordinates Chart
A one-page parallel coordinates chart for comparing several options across several scored dimensions without collapsing everything into one average. Each dimension becomes a vertical axis from 0 to 10. Each option becomes one coloured line that crosses every axis at its score. The shape of the line is the point: flat, high lines show balanced strength; jagged lines show tradeoffs; crossings show where one option overtakes another depending on which dimension you care about. Unlike a radar chart, the axes are laid out as a horizontal sequence so crossings and reversals stay readable when several options are compared; unlike a slopegraph, it handles more than two dimensions. Use it for vendor shortlists, product ideas, hiring candidates, feature prioritisation, project health, team capabilities, habit plans, book choices, or any decision where a single score hides the actual profile. Name two to six axes, list each item with its scores, and the multi-axis profile draws itself. Leave it blank to print bare axes and score the options by hand.
