The Personal Board of Directors

A boardroom one-pager for borrowing better judgment. An oval table runs down the center of the page with six advisor seats around it, three a side — each seat holding someone you appoint: a mentor, an author, a relative, a dead philosopher. Every seat card carries a name, the domain they cover, and blank counsel lines you fill in pen when a real question is on the table. Your own chair sits at the head with the fine print — the vote is advisory, the decision is still yours — and an on-the-agenda strip at the bottom holds the decision currently before the board. It turns 'what would they say?' from a platitude into a page you actually convene.

How it works

List up to six advisors, one per line, as Name — the domain they cover. Mix the board: someone practical, someone kind, someone who'd call your bluff.

The counsel lines stay blank on purpose: when a decision lands on the agenda, you go around the table and write what each seat would say.
