Where your board lives
The board is saved in this browser as you work, and it is there when you come back. Nothing you draw is uploaded. Sign in and it is also saved to your account, so it follows you to another browser.
To keep a copy or move it yourself, save a board file from the menu and open it again later, here or on another device. Export a PNG to share a picture of it.
Questions
-
Is the whiteboard really unlimited?
The board has no edges. Scroll, drag with the hand or hold Space to move in any direction, and zoom from 10% to 800%. What limits it is the room your browser gives the site, about 5 MB, which pictures use up far faster than drawing or text.
-
Where is my board saved?
In this browser, as you work, so it is there when you come back. Signed out, nothing you draw is uploaded. Signed in, the board is also saved to your account and follows you to another browser. You can also save a board file from the menu and open it again later, on any device.
-
Can I add pictures?
Yes. Paste a screenshot, drop a photo onto the board, or pick one with the picture tool. Each is shrunk to 1,400 pixels on its longest side, so the board stays light enough to save.
-
Does it work with a stylus or on a phone?
Yes. The pen follows a stylus's pressure, so lines thicken as you press. On a phone or tablet one finger draws, and two fingers move the board and pinch to zoom.
-
How do I share what I made?
Export a PNG from the menu, or copy the board as a picture and paste it into a message or a document. The picture takes in everything on the board, wherever you are looking.
-
What if I delete something by mistake?
Press Undo, or ⌘Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows). The board keeps the last hundred changes, including clearing it.
