HourLife 1.2: scan a document straight into HourLife

HourLife 1.2 adds a document scanner to Vault, Secure Box and Things: point the camera at the page and it is filed where you are. Meditation sessions also survive a locked phone now.

HourLife 1.2 is available for iPhone.

What changed

  • Scan documents straight into Vault, Secure Box and Things. Point the camera at the page and it is filed where you are.
  • Meditation sessions no longer disappear when you lock your phone.
  • Quick add from a widget or a link now opens on top of what you were doing, instead of closing it.
  • The Next Task widget fits longer task names.
  • A new app icon.

The paper that goes with your records

A warranty belongs with the thing it covers, and a passport scan belongs somewhere locked. Until now that meant photographing the page somewhere else and bringing it in.

Now the camera opens from the record itself. Scan a receipt into a Thing, a contract into a Vault note, or an ID into Secure Box. However many pages you scan become one PDF, sharp enough to read, saved with the record it belongs to.

Keep the paper with the thing it is about.
