What the craspedia means

Craspedia comes from Australia, where it grows in dry grasslands and is known as billy buttons. It arrived in florists' shops only in recent decades, so it has no Victorian meaning; modern guides usually read it as good health, cheer, and a playful spirit, largely because of its sunny color and whimsical shape. It is popular in modern, minimal arrangements and in dried bouquets, since the heads keep their color for a very long time once dry. Like all flower meanings, these are associations rather than fixed rules.
