The Permission Slip

A pad of four slips that grant you leave to stop doing something this quarter — the Essentialism move written as a form. Each slip names what you stop, what that frees (so that I can), when it expires, and who is allowed to remind you. Unsigned is a resolution; witnessed is a permission. The tinted panel counts how many slips still have no witness, because a stop-doing with nobody named on it is the kind of promise the week quietly reverses. Use it before the calendar asks you to prove you are allowed.

Best for

Step 01 · The pad

Whose slips, and which term.

Step 02 · The slips

What you stop, and what that frees.

If you cannot finish "so that I can", you are not cutting — you are only wishing. The witness is who may point at this slip when you break it.

Step 03 · Print

Paper and download.

Write what you stop, what it frees, and who is allowed to remind you.
