Coupon Book
A book of promises, as a link. One lie-in, no questions asked. An evening where I cook. A walk whenever you ask. They tap a coupon to use it, it stamps once, and you see which ones have been cashed in.
- Up to 12 coupons in a book
- Each stamps once, on every device
- Free, no account to start
Promises you will actually keep
The studio is one page: the coupons down the middle, and the book they will see fanned out beside it.
-
Write the coupons
Each one is a thing you will do, in a line. Add fine print if it needs any, and an expiry if it should not wait forever. Start from a book, or from nothing.
-
They tap to use one
Tap, then tap again to be sure, and the stamp comes down. A used coupon stays in the book, stamped and dated, on every device it is opened on.
-
Send the link
You get a private gift link to text or email, and a share page that shows which coupons have been used. Signed in, HourLife can email it on a day you pick.

Made to be kind
-
Each coupon stamps once
The stamp is kept on the server, not the phone, so a coupon used on Tuesday is still stamped when the book is opened on a laptop on Friday.
-
You see what has been used
Your share page lists every coupon and whether it has been cashed in, and when. Nothing else about the recipient is recorded.
-
Expiry is honoured
A coupon with a date cannot be used after it, in the recipient’s own time zone. It stays in the book, marked expired, rather than disappearing.
-
Sent means sent
A book never changes after you send it. Make another one like it in a tap, and your draft waits in this browser until you are ready.
Questions
-
What is a coupon book?
A book of small promises. One breakfast in bed. One evening of their choice of film. One afternoon with no phones. You write the coupons, and they tear one off, with a tap, whenever they like.
-
How do they redeem a coupon?
They tap it. The coupon is stamped with the date, you see the stamp on your share page, and the promise is yours to keep.
-
Can coupons expire?
If you want them to. Give a coupon an expiry date and it cannot be redeemed after that day, by your calendar. Leave the date off and the coupon lasts.
-
Can a redemption be undone?
No. A tap is a tear, which keeps the book honest. Only the recipient’s taps count; when you open your own book, nothing is stamped.
-
How many coupons can a book hold?
Up to twelve. Six is plenty for most people, and the fine print under each one can carry the rules.
-
Can I change the book after I send it?
No, a sent book stays as it was sent. Start a copy to write another, or delete the original so its link stops opening.
-
Is it free?
Yes, and you can write a book without an account. Signing in lets HourLife email the link on a date you choose, and keeps your books in one place.
Someone is owed a few promises
